The Heart of a Hero is the second book in Susan May Warren's Global Search and Rescue series. This book picks back up on Jake and Aria's relationship as well as adding in some new characters and plot twists. Every page is action packed as Jake and Aria find themselves trapped in the path of a Category 5 hurricane. They both have to use their life-saving skills in order to save themselves as well as a handful of troubled strangers.
I am loving this series! It's the perfect mix of romance and suspense. This is a great vacation read and just a great way to experience a little excitement in your life. This book played like a movie in my mind and once I started it, I couldn't put it down. I can't wait for the next book in the series! Thank you to the publisher, netgalley, and Susan May Warren for the chance to read and review this book!

The God Dare by Kate Battistelli
Throughout the Bible, we see many instances of God using normal, ordinary people to help fulfill his plans. He used Jonah, Rahab, and Mary and he can use you. Are you willing to embrace the plan He has for you? Will you listen to God's voice and dare to follow Him?
Kate Battistelli knows what it's like to be courageous and allow God to take control of her life. Though she didn't always receive the things she thought she wanted, she grew to realize that God's plan was much better than her own. In The God Dare, Kate uses her own personal life stories as well as Biblical lessons to motivate and inspire. Kate reveals to her readers that God has a plan for each of them, no matter what they have experienced in the past.
I really enjoyed this book and came away from it feeling refreshed and inspired. I received a complimentary copy of this book from Barbour Publishing and was under no obligation to post a review.

On a Coastal Breeze by Suzanne Woods Fisher
Catch up with Blaine, Cam, and Maddie on Three Sisters Island in this newest release from Suzanne Woods Fisher. The sisters and their dad, Paul, are learning to adjust to island life even though it is so different from what they are used to. Paul is still busy renovating and running Camp Kicking Moose. Cam is determined to come up with a more efficient energy plan for the island. Blaine is attempting to finish culinary school but encounters challenges along the way. Maddie's story is front and center in this book as she opens her own counseling practice. What Maddie didn't expect was a blast from her past to show up on the island. A new pastor, Ricky O'Shea, has arrived and it just so happens he is the same Ricky who used to torment Maddie with his incessant teasing during their childhood years. Maddie attempts to avoid Pastor Rick, but as a counselor, she realizes avoidance isn't the answer. The sisters find out that facing their problems head on is a much better option for a success story.
I thought this book was even better than the first one in the series. I loved getting to be reunited with the characters in this story. I love how the Graysons are relatable and real. They all have insecurities just as we do in real life. I think reading their story can really help provide inspiration to readers who are experiencing struggles of their own. I know I benefitted a lot by reading this book, as I do with all of Suzanne's work. I found myself seeing a little bit of myself in each of the sisters. In Suzanne's acknowledgements she said that she prays that this book's message would minister to the readers. The message definitely ministered to me and I am thankful to Suzanne for using her skills and talents to bring glory to God. Thank you so much to Suzanne and Revell for the chance to read and review this book! I can't wait to read the next book in this series!

A happy bedtime contributes so much to a child’s welfare. Perhaps a warm bath, a story, some cuddles with mom or dad, and a prayer equal a time-tested bedtime routine. These last moments of the day, done right, create a wonderful sense of family security and love for children as they fall asleep.Bedtime also gives us a wonderful opportunity to help children grow secure in God’s love. I wrote God’s Words to Dream On for just that reason. The stories not only create an overview of the Bible’s big story, but they focus on God’s love and care—the ways He shows us His power and protection and the reasons we can trust Him. Each story includes a simple Bible verse to remember, a simple prayer, and a bedtime blessing for your child.
Young children thrive on routine, and I think a Bible story at bedtime might be one of the best!

Praying Women by Sheila Walsh
If you need a boost in your prayer life, you will definitely want to read this book. Sheila Walsh does a great job of telling you "how to pray when you don't know what to say." She uses experiences that she has been through in her own life to inspire and teach. She also uses Scripture and Biblical truths to convey exactly what God's Word says about prayer. This is one of those books that you will want to highlight everything and read time and time again. This is easily a five star read and one of my favorite books this year so far. Thank you so much to Sheila Walsh and BakerBooks for the chance to read and review this book!

Change of Heart by Molly Jebber
When Amish midwife Becca goes to visit her sister in an Englisch town in Ohio, she is surprised at how quickly life can change. Becca and her sister now live completely different lifestyles, but the Englisch life is very intriguing to Becca. Especially when she meets Dr. Matt Carrington and becomes a nurse in his clinic. Becca is immediately smitten with the handsome doctor and she begins to dream about what it would be like to stay in this charming Ohio town. However, there will be many challenges along the way and Becca must make a way for herself while also being considerate of her family and her upbringing.
This is a sweet, clean read that provides much inspiration. I feel like the story is very soothing and provides a welcome escape. I do feel like the characters and their stories could have been embellished on a bit. The plot seemed a little rushed at times. However, it's always good to read a book that has an important message while keeping the story wholesome and refreshing. Thank you so much to the author, publisher, and Celebrate Lit for the chance to read and review this book!

Alana’s passion for social justice, human rights, and religious freedom shines through her writing, and her books are known for raising tough questions without preaching. More from Alana
I’m excited to share my new Turbulent Skies Christian Thriller novella series with all of you! The inspiration behind this series came when I was taking a flight a few years ago … and indulging in one of my favorite past times – people watching! As I looked at the various passengers around me, I started to wonder about their lives … and it was from that line of thinking this novella series was born!I first wrote a book about a terrifying experience on board an airplane years earlier, (Turbulence, Book #5 in the Kennedy Stern series) and because many members of my amazing Readers’ Club had been asking me to write a book featuring Willow, one of their favorite characters from the Kennedy Stern series, it seemed fitting that Willow gets to be the star in the first of these novellas.
Terror in the Skies is Willow’s story. She’s a chic Alaskan college student, a free spirit who finds herself sharing a dorm room with a conservative Christian missionary kid. Willow first makes her appearance in the Kennedy Stern Christian suspense series, meaning that over a hundred thousand readers have met her!
I can’t tell you too much about this life-of-the-party aspiring actress (mostly because I don’t want to spoil anything for you if you happen to still be making your way through the Kennedy Stern books). But I can tell you she is the first main character in this six-book novella series that helps answer the question: “Who are you really sitting next to hundreds of feet up in the air?”
Maybe, like me, after reading this series, you’ll never look at your fellow passengers the same way!
